Returned to install surge protector that I left an estimate for, unit is installed inside AH cabinet and system running at departure. Homeowner paid over the phone.

I performed a Preferred cool home. Check in heating. The unit is operating properly.

Preformed tune up on Bosch split system; unit seems to be in good running order and found no issues. Homeowner was not home but the daughter was so I made some recommendations but they will need to review and get back to us. I recommend getting on a maintenance plan to maintain unit and warranty as well as adding a surge protector to the AH unit. I also left one for a reme halo to improve indoor air quality. This reduces sickness and allergies. Our AC filters about 60 percent of the air and our lungs do the other 40 so is a great idea to have a whole home air purifier. Filter was extremely dirty, during the high demand season they may want to change it more frequently. A reme halo would also help with the dust in the air. Unit running at departure

Preformed summer tune up on 2 gas splits, units are running at departure within manufacture specs. I had to add some refrigerant to both units to get sub cooling above 7. Adam was the last tech out since install. I explained to homeowner that there was no issue and that it just needed to be dialed in better. Also, spoke to homeowner about adding in rush devices to lower starting amps and to help maintain a healthy compressor. Trane does not include them with unit anymore but that’s why compressors lasted so long in the past. Both units running with a 20 degree Td at departure.

Preformed summer summer tune up on Trane xv heatpump, system running within manufacture specifications and found no issues with system. I spoke to homeowner about installing surge protectors on unit to protect investment. We highly recommend having these on the XV series of units because of all the components that are very expensive to replace and to avoid being out of air waiting to get a repair done and parts ordered. Unit running at departure with a 20 degree TD. Left estimate

Perform summer tuneup on Trane package unit, system working within manufacture specifications. I spoke to homeowner about installing a soft start on unit to lower starting amps and help with solar. Unit running at departure with a 20° temperature differential.

Arrive to home and unit was not cooling properly. It only had a 10° temperature differential. I found that the unit was low on charge. I used the electronic leak detector to attempt to find where it was leaking from and could not find any evidence of oil or hits on my detector. The only place where there was evidence of oil was under the ports where we put our gauges on. I took a picture of it and videos of me looking for leak customer decided to go with adding refrigerant and dye, and we will monitor it . If the unit slows in performance before 60 days, give us a call to come out to look for leak, if it doesn’t slow and performance, still give us a call in a couple months. Unit also had a bad run capacitor for the compressor and homeowner had me replace it. At departure unit has a 22° temperature differential.

No one was home upon arrival. I spoke with the homeowner over the doorbell and he said to go on in and install the filter. I installed the filter and close the garage. I plugged a unit in.

Returned and checked the system. I found the white wire in a splice under the unit corroded. When disturbed the compressor with chatter. I cut back all the leads and re-terminated them and taped it up. The unit is operating properly at this time.
