It is with great honor, Ideal Energy received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2018 ENERGY STAR Contractor of the Year Award on April 20th! Ideal Energy was one of SIX home performance contractors in the entire Nation to receive this recognition.

In addition to this award, Ideal Energy also won APS Top 5 Contractor of the Year Award for 2018. 

My name is Elena Chrimat, and I’m one of the owners at Ideal Energy. I felt that writing this directly to our community was more fitting in this case, so here it goes.

An open letter to our team, our customers, and the APS and SRP Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program:

This was certainly no easy feat. Our company has been severely dedicated to the enhancement of the Arizona Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program since the program’s inception in 2009. Every year, we have made significant changes to our energy efficiency processes and services we offer in order to better serve our Arizona customers, make our customers’ homes more energy efficient, more comfortable, more safe and more durable. We believe striving for continuing growth while maintaining quality is the only way to run a business.

We have two core values at Ideal Energy that we believe have helped us succeed:

1) No one {in our team} is above the attic

2) We will absolutely never sacrifice quality for growth

Every year we continue to find new, exciting, unique ways to make homes perform better and save people money off of their SRP and APS bills. We believe to truly do home performance you have to know HVAC systems like the back of your hand, and you have to be darn good at it. We believe in completing our services in house in order to control quality and know what is going on with a project at any given time.

We train our people. We want every single one of our team members to know what they’re doing, and why they’re doing it. Our team has undeniable amounts of long nights, after hours work, work completed in extremely harsh, hot temperatures, and not to mention…uncomfortable (and itchy!) spaces. This team is the reason we have succeeded; they are real, breathing, hard-working people that give their all for every single job we complete. We would not be here without the dedication and hard work of our team. 

Our promise to Arizona is that we will never stop trying and believing in our cause. We will always advocate for better energy efficiency programs through APS and SRP, even if that means sacrificing some personal time to do so. We do home performance not only to earn a living, but also to do something the right way that has an incredible impact on people’s lives and the environment we live in. 

The bottom line is this job is hard. But it’s also extremely rewarding.
