Attention APS Customers!
Yesterday, all energy efficiency contractors were informed of some rebate changes that will be effective January 1st, 2018. The rebate changes are as follows:
Duct Sealing Rebates
From now on, only the contractors under the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program will be allowed to participate in APS’ duct sealing program. The rules are a customer must complete an official APS Home Performance with ENERGY STAR energy audit to qualify for the $250 duct sealing rebate through APS.
Western Cooling Control Rebates
The same rules apply here – the only contractors allowed to offer the $70 Western Cooling Control rebate through APS are the contractors that work under the APS Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.
Official Energy Audit Costs
All official APS Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractors have until January 1st, 2018 to offer the $99 Home Performance with ENERGY STAR energy audits. The $99 fee has been a requirement for the last 7 years, but starting January 1st, 2018, the price of an official energy audit will be increasing as the energy audits will not longer be subsidized by APS.Â
